Another undefeated league season culminating with another state meet birth.  The Eagles extended their undefeated league win streak to 16 meets with another perfect 8 - 0 season.  In sectionals, J-E couldn't get by Beaver River, who won their fifth straight sectional and state crown, but the Eagles  finished 2nd to qualify for their 2nd consecutive State Meet.  The Eagles narrowly lost the State Crown to Beaver River finishing an incredible second place.  Leading the Eagles in the State Meet were Rory Thorpe's 15th place (17.02), Bryan Place (18th/17.10), Jeff DeSellems (30th/17.27), Pat Schill (46th/17.41), and Kevin McPeak (75th/18.13).  Mark Schneider was 84th in 18.30 and Noel Pezzolesi was 85th in 18.32.  The Eagles qualified for the Federation Meet which was run in a blizzard on Nov. 14, 1987.
