The 1998 was easily the greatest season in J-E Cross Country history, and possibly the best team that ever represented the Jordan-Elbridge colors.The squad, ranked # 1 in N.Y. State all season, breezed through the league and won their 2nd straight title. In invitationals, the Eagles moved up to the tougher, large school divisions in preparation for the state meet. In sectional competition, J-E scored an unheard of 28 points. In the state meet, the team was led by 3 seniors who finished in the top 11 of the race, and J-E won the team competition over ten other schools - taking home J-E's only state championship!
